To place an order with handpaintedmagic, please either drop me an email or for the fastest response message me via my facebook page – http://www.facebook.com/handpaintedmagic where you can also find all the latest examples of my work. You can find a detailed price list below.

For any of the portrait items, I need a CLEAR, WELL LIT and GOOD QUALITY photograph to work from. A three quarter profile works best (side on is also fine but will not show markings on the front of the face, note that front on is rarely a flattering angle for most horses!) I can and have worked from poor quality photos e.g. Facebook screenshots in the past, especially when photo options are limited such as for a horse who has passed away 🌈 but please remember, the clearer the photo, the better the painting! In particular the eye needs to be very clear, this is what most captures your horse’s personality. See my Reference Photo Tips page for more info.
I am constantly trying to expand my range of equestrian items, which from 1st March 2022 includes:
🎨 stable name plaques (name only £21, horse portrait with name £39)
🎨 horse portrait keyrings £25 (double sided £35)
🎨 *NEW* horse portrait heart-shaped plaques £30 *Introductory Price*
🎨 horse portrait Christmas baubles £25
🎨 horse portrait mini keepsake boxes £35 (occasionally I have special sizes or heart shapes, priced individually)
🎨 horse portrait gifts including bookmarks, coasters, magnets and key holders, from £20
🎨 *NEW* horse portrait mini canvasses and plaques, from £40 (web page to follow)
🎨 horse portrait clocks, from £40 (web page to follow)
🎨 headcollar hooks (name only £25, horse portrait (no name) £35) (web page to follow)
🎨 and occasionally little one off gifts: My Little Pony, unicorns etc!
Non-horse wise, I also offer house name/number signs, children’s coat pegs and dog lead hooks. Please contact me with your requirements and for prices.
Regretfully due to rising costs, my prices no longer include postage, but to keep costs as low as possible I charge a flat rate of £4 no matter what you order*. I send all my items 1st Class postage via Royal Mail to UK addresses. All items are sent “Signed For” as standard. *Please note this does not cover loss or damage for values over £50 – if you are ordering several items I can send “Special Delivery” tracked/guaranteed for an extra cost (this will include extra insurance over £50 should your package go missing or get damaged in the post – extra cost will depend on total value of your order). I am happy to post overseas, but as I will only send fully tracked this can be expensive (min £10) so please contact me for a postage quote before ordering.
I take payment via PayPal or Bacs (bank transfer), and as all items are custom orders I will not start painting until payment is received – payment also confirms your place in my order queue, which can get heavily booked up at times! I will always try my best to accommodate urgent dates, but certain items e.g. stable plaques take at least 10-14 days as they need several coats of varnish, on top of the hours they take to paint. If you need a last minute gift, or do not have a quality photo I can work from, I am happy to offer gift vouchers instead.
It is worth noting that I start taking Christmas orders from as early as August/September each year, and I am usually fully booked for these by early November so PLEASE if you would like an item as a Christmas gift make sure you order in time!
Update: I’m sad to feel I have to reiterate here that handpaintedmagic is and always has been a *hobby* of mine – I started offering out my items when I ran out of my own horses and friends to paint for, and eventually set up a Facebook page to share my work. I love painting, and I am happy to continue to offer what I do – but in this increasingly social media ’24/7′ world we live in I am getting disheartened by the number of impatient messages I get sent if I do not respond ‘immediately’. I cannot (and will not!) spend my life 24/7 on social media, and to put it bluntly, if you do not have the patience to wait 24-48 hours for a response from me, you are not going to have the patience required for my wait list, which often runs at 6-8 weeks! Recently I have had some people chase up a message with literally just a ‘?’ – one time just a couple of hours after their initial enquiry was sent! This is incredibly disheartening – and not the kind of customers I want or need. If you like my individually hand painted craft and would like to order something of your own – I can’t wait to hear from you. If you want something ‘now’ – well, there are plenty of mass-produced quick-turnaround sites you can order from 🙂
